Although I was not formally on the production team, I still assisted in hanging and focusing lighting fixtures. I am always happy to be an extra set of hands for the Head Electrician and do my part as a technician. The lighting designer wanted LED tape lining the inner perimeter of each moving flat. One of the biggest challenges of the process was masking all the cables and making sure nothing would get caught when the flats moved. Below are examples of what I was working on and how it turned out!

  • These components gave data and power to the LED tape on the judge's box and witness stand.

  • This photo is a great example of how we fed the cables discreetly and safely off the flat. Several notches were made on the inside of the flat, which created a path for the cables to follow once the facing was on.

  • Due to the length of the LED tape that needed to be put on the front of the flat, there needed to be 2 decoders. This helped prevent any loss of data within the line of diodes.
